Configuring your calendar

August 11, 2026

By default, businesses on doggos.com are configured to accept reservations every day of the week, including holidays and weekends. To limit your availability or sync your calendar with your business's existing calendar, we recommend configuring your calendar from the Settings page.

Availability

Unless your business has been set to "Unavailable" by you or doggos.com, your business is visible in search results and eligible to accept new reservations every day of the week. You do not have to login before holidays or weekends to re-confirm your availability

Only workspace admins can save rooms and services. Once they are saved to your account, everyone on the team sees the same list in the calendar.

Rooms

Rooms are the accommodations you sell (for example Standard, Suite, or Kitty condo). Each room has:

  • Name - shown in the calendar and on new reservations
  • Base price - the nightly (or stay) rate for that room
  • Additional pet price - optional charge when more than one pet shares the room

Add as many rooms as you need. Keep names short and familiar so staff can pick the right one quickly when creating a reservation. If you rename a room later, new bookings use the updated label; existing reservations keep the room name that was selected at the time.

Tip: Match room names to what you already use on-site or on paper. Consistency between the calendar and the kennel floor reduces double-books and mix-ups at check-in.

Services

Services are add-ons and day services (baths, daycare, medication administration, and so on). Like rooms, each service has a name, base price, and optional additional-pet price. They appear in the calendar booking flow so you can attach them to a stay without leaving the reservation.

Using the calendar day to day

New reservations

From the calendar, choose New reservation, then set the guest, pets, dates, room, and any services. Drop-off and pickup times can include early or late windows when your business charges for them-those surcharges are shown on the reservation and in the owner payment summary when applicable.

Existing stays

Click a stay on the calendar to open details, message the owner, update times, or follow the payment status. Unconfirmed or draft stays can be edited before the owner completes checkout on their reservation tracker.

Unavailable days

Mark days as unavailable when you are closed or at capacity so your team does not schedule over them. Unavailable days appear distinctly on the calendar and block new bookings on those dates.

Recommended setup

A simple first-pass configuration works well for most boarding businesses:

  • Create one room row per physical accommodation (or per rate tier if you bill by category rather than by suite)
  • Add the services you sell most often so staff are not typing ad-hoc line items
  • Keep prices in the same format you quote customers (for example 70.00 rather than mixing currencies or shorthand)
  • Review the calendar weekly for gaps, overlaps, and days that should be marked unavailable

Questions?

For help configuring your workspace or calendar, login to your account and message @doggos or email support. For questions about a specific reservation, open that stay on the calendar or contact the pet owner from Messages.
