Typically, payments are made to your account on the very last day of the booking, at 11PM US Pacific Standard Time. For example, if you have a booking from Dec 8-14, you would be paid on December 14th, around 11PM PST. Sometimes, processing can take an additional 24-48 hours, like during a weekend, holiday, or if the bank processed the payment later than usual.
When your money is ready for withdrawal, you'll be prompted to connect your bank account. This is handled securely by our payment processor, Stripe, and is currently the only way to recieve payments.
Linking your bank account is easy. Simply click the "Withdraw" button that appears on your `/dashboard` page and follow the instructions to add your account number and routing number. Your booking revenue will be sent to you automatically after your account is connected.
We take 0% fees from dog sitters. However, if your booking is disputed, your payment may be delayed or have the final amount adjusted.
Doggos.com handles refunds, and we wrote a separate blog post about this process here. In general, if a customer requests a refund for a qualified reason, such as their stay being canceled or their dog being injured, your final payment may be adjusted up to 100% of the amount.
Refunds may also negatively impact your account, such as removing access to features.
Payment history
All of your bookings, cancellations, and refunds combined make up what's called your "Reservation history" on Doggos, and is shown publicly on your page. Keeping your account in good standing by not canceling on clients, and not recieving disputes that result in refunds are an important part of keeping your payment history positive.
Customers use this public information to gauge how many bookings you manage through Doggos, and how they typically go. Do you accept a lot of bookings, but also cancel a lot? Do clients regularly cancel on you? Potential customers consider this information differently when they're considering who to book, so it pays to only accept reservations you have high confidence in.
Not everything in your payment history is public. For example, the exact amount your were paid, the amount of dogs you watched, or any information about pickup and dropoff times are never displayed.
